A minor disease can be fatal if left untreated. In the same way, hypertension is the asymptomatic chronic condition that become fatal when neglected. It is often called silent killer as it shows no any symptom even blood pressure raises dangerously. But internally it destroys the vital organs. A person is said to be hypertensive when his Systolic blood pressure measures 140mm of mercury or above and diastolic measures 90mm of mercury or above. High blood pressure is generally caused by stress, high intake of sodium salt, smoking, alcohol and somehow transformed from parent gene. In country like Pakistan, majority of people our suffering from hypertension without knowing it. However it never becomes fatal if one adopts a healthy lifestyle to defeat it. High blood pressure can be treated by adopting healthy lifestyle likewise, jogging, exercise , less sodium intake and less fatty acids. Moreover, there is no any awareness seminar to let our masses aware about this deadly enemy. More specifically in remote areas people are unfamiliar to hypertension. High official authorities must make adequate measures to aware people about the hypertension.
