IN THE JOURNEY CALLED LIFE, WALK SLOWLY AND MINDFULLY TO DELIVER QUALITY OUTPUR, NOT RASHLY TO MAKE YOUR LIFE TERRIBLE” The moral of very famous story of tortoise and hare is that you can be more successful by doing things slowly and steady than by reacting quickly and carelessly. “Walk slow to reach fast” it looks contradictory but it’s not. You have seen so many people and observe yourself also; since morning to evening people are rushing like they are running in Olympic race. They drive so fast and rashly on roads (increase the possibility of accidents) and when they reach at home then also they keep on wanting how to pass the time. We have made our life like robots not like a conscious human being.Walking slow means sometime you should reduce or stop your blind race and this reduction or slowing down the speed gives you a chance to connect with yourself. This connection with the self helps you to analyze or check, what you are doing, why are you doing and how you can do that particular task. These all things become possible with a state of mind which we call conscious mindful or aware. But in the state of unawareness people would like to slow down very quickly and miss the opportunity to connect with self. Slow is beautiful Beauty can always be seen with still eyes and not the wavering one. Slowness encourages people to stay acknowledging the richness of life, take a pause and helps to respond to the various situations rather than provoke to react mindlessly. So you may need to slow down and free up some space in that mind. Helps in creativity and new ideas So many times you want to solve a puzzle or a problem or want to recall something in hurry, but don’t get the solution, but sometime later you are sitting in the garden relaxing immediately you get the answer to it. Psychologists say, when you work in hurry, mechanically and stressed at that time you are not in the moment and occupied with thoughts .That moment, slowing down help you to achieve a clear mind and put you on the path to true productivity. Teaches patience Especially during times when things are out of our control and we have no choice but to wait it end. Slowing down and watchfulness brings patience to gently moving towards your goal. Aid in digestion It improves digestion, better hydration, easier weight loss (eating slowly helps you to eat less) and greater satisfaction with our meals. Meanwhile, eating quickly leads to poor digestion, increased weight gain and lower satisfaction slow down your eating and enjoy improved health and well-being. It gives your body time to recognize that you’re full. Helps in reappraisal It is defined as the regulation of inner states, primary emotions, through modification of the original reaction. Cognitive reappraisal is the ability to more slowly re-evaluate our initial reaction. This slower process allows us to regulate our own emotions and situations or lead to restlessness. Slow and deep breathing It is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. This is because when you breathe slowly and deeply, it sends the message to your brain to calm down and relax. The brain then sends this message to your body. Those things that happen when you are stressed, such as increase heart rate, fast breathing and high blood pressure all decrease as you breathe slowly and deeply to relax. Slowing down can help to achieve work life balance with improved efficiency, so that you can move on the right path to reach your destination early.
