Ali Gul Leghari-Johi
Government Boys (Campus) High School Ibrahim Leghari is a village based high school from 15 to 20 kilometres in the north of Johi city and 20 Kilometres away from District Dadu Sindh. It is surround by several stretched villages. There are 10 other primary schools which are being run under the headship of Head Master of this school. The building has 8 classrooms, 4 washrooms, a boundary wall, 2 rooms for head master and school staff respectively. There are 14 male and female teachers with enrollment of nearly more than 350 boys and girls students from class VI to class X. The school with huge building and well qualified teaching faculty lacks the following basic facilities. 1. Drinking water: There is no proper water drinking system for teachers as well as students. School peon fetches water from other villages to fulfil the needs on daily basis. 2. Insufficient Furniture: There is shortage of furniture for students. Due to huge enrollment, sometimes, the classes are being run in shifts especially at the time of new admission. 50% of the existing future is broken. 3. Electricity/ Solar System: There is no electricity in school neither in village. Solar fans are installed in almost each class but there are only two solar plates which are insufficient for use. These solar fans and plates were purchased from the school SMC but since last 3 years, school hasn’t received its SMC till date. 4. Science Lab: The school has highly qualified science teachers but there is no science lab. There is dire need of science equipments so that students may get practical knowledge through science experiments. 5. Library: There is also need of a library in school so that students may be able to explore the vast knowledge of different subjects present in their syllabus. Additionally, it will also enable the students’ interest in book readings. Ibrahim Leghari high school is one of the rare schools of rural Sindh where the students from far flung areas come to study. Most of the teaching faculty comes from Johi and Dadu city. After provision of aforementioned facilities, school’s academic may improve much better. It is therefore humbly requested to our Education Minister Sindh, Secretary Education and all stakeholders working in the field of education to support this school in providing the basic educational facilities for the quality education
