ISLAMABAD: At least 9 people lost their lives and 706 tested positive due to corona virus during the last 24 hours in the country.
As per National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) current statistics 49,486 tests were conducted of which 706 returned positive taking the tally of positive cases to 1,271,027.
The COVID-19 positivity ratio stands at 1.42 percent.
468,776 coronavirus cases have been recorded so far in Sindh, 439,653 in Punjab 177,723 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 106,813 in Islamabad, 34,455 in Azad Kashmir 33,220 in Balochistan and 10,387 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
With the current fatalities of 9 people tally of fatalities has soared to 28,414 .
12,904 people have succumbed to the epidemic in Punjab 7,557 in Sindh 5,733 in KP, 938 in Islamabad, 740 in Azad Kashmir, 356 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.
As many as 1,219,174 patients have recovered while 1,408 people are stated to be in critical condition.
