Workshop on ‘Internet of Things’ held at UAJK
MUZAFFARABAD, (Parliament Times) : A freebie workshop on the topic “Internet of Things (IoT)” was organized by Dr. Ausnain Naveed Khan on Wednesday in department of electrical engineering, at University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffarabad.
The region of Azad Kashmir is deprived of private sector as no well known industry is operational in the region. Organizing such workshops can really help youth to equip themselves with technical knowledge and compete with the world. Azad Kashmir is a marginalized territory where no sponsor can be found facilely to conduct research activities.
Dr. Ausnain Naveed Khan has taken a step forward in this regard to organize the workshop on his own expense. It is worth mentioning here that educational sector, particularly research programs are really suffering from cuts in budget of Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
In this era of competition, it is really getting difficult for the academia to carry forward the research activities when the developed and developing countries are spending a handsome chunk of the budget on research & development whereas Pakistan is continuously cutting the budget of Higher Education Commission.
