Every action we take, according to our own will, according to our own minds, is called our “freedom” which is one of the most precious blessings of God’s creation. To be independent depends not only on the individual but also on the independence of the individual. Today we are living and breathing in the free spaces of the Islamic country, which we were bound to hundreds years ago. Pakistan is an Islamic State which appeared on the World Map on 14th August 1947. The formation of Pakistan is primarily based on adherence to Islamic principles, rules and regulations and Islamic tolerance and justice including its religious observances. Before 1947, the subcontinent was ruled by the British. There were two regions, India and Sindh, with Hindus and Muslims under British rule. When Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah returned to Bombay after passing the bar, he decided to run a movement (All India Muslim League) to awaken the Muslims, to fight for their rights, to awaken them to freedom. The liberation from British oppression and slavery was the goal of every individual of both the Hindu and Muslim nations. In 1929 Ms. Fatima Jinnah also joined this journey of independence and also mobilized to create awareness among women. In 1940, the Quaid-e-Azam introduced a resolution of Pakistan which was also called the Lahore Resolution. That is to say the struggle and hard work of Quaid-e-Azam seemed to pay off and the journey of independence continued. In 1944, Gandhi wrote a letter to the Quaid-e-Azam expressing his desire to meet him. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah vigorously spread the independence movement throughout the region, paving the way for the liberation of Muslims. They were accompanied by various leaders who helped Quaid-e-Azam step by step. Among them were Allama Muhammad Iqbal who introduced the concept of Pakistan, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Liaquat Ali Khan, Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar, Sir Abdullah Haroon and Begum. Rana Liaquat Ali Khan, Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah, Khwaja Nazimuddin, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and many others. In addition, Chaudhry Rehmat Ali suggested the name of Pakistan and wrote the national anthem Hafeez Jalandhari. These were all characters who would play their role . In the 1945-46 elections the Muslim League was victorious in many areas and got nothing but defeat from the enemy. Finally, on 14th August 1947, our country came into being on the world map with a very clear significance and status, written, read and called “Islamic Republic of Pakistan”. May Allah bless our country Pakistan forever. Amen.
