Shangla:   like other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, celebrated Police Martyrs’ Day on August 4 with devotion and respect. Elders of the area, relatives of martyrs police, police officers, youth, Deputy Commissioner Shangla, Assistant Commissioner Alpuri and other religious and social personalities participated.In the ceremony, school students and police officers sang songs and delivered speeches in tribute to the martyrs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for their eternal sacrifices for the survival and security of the nation.
A well-armed contingent saluted the police martyrs and laid flowers at the graves of the martyrs. On the occasion, District Police Officer Shangla Rahim Shah Khan said that Police Martyrs’ Day is celebrated nationally on August 4 every year. The aim is to pay homage to the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyred police and express solidarity with the families of the brave grandsons, he said, He also sacrificed his life for the society and the environment, This is a day of renewal. The young policemen sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and the nation, which will always be remembered in history.
Special portraits, posters and banners depicting Police martyers and Stories of Their Sacrifices were hung at key locations in Shangla, on the stories of the martyrs and their sacrifices were hung at important places in Shangla, Disst Police Officer Rahim Shah Khan Further said, that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police remained on the front line in the war on terror, and the force, from the Additional IG to the soldier, narrated the story of sacrifices and established itself as the best police force in the world. Other speakers also expressed their views and paid rich tributes to the police martyrs.
At the end of the ceremony, gifts were distributed among the families of the martyrs by the District Police Officer and Deptuy Commissioner, and prayers were offered for the reward of the martyrs and prayers for their high ranks.
