Yasir Khalil,
Kwashiorkor is a disease caused by a deficiency or lack of protein. Kwashiorkor occurs commonly in areas where food is in short supply or areas of famine. Moreover, in the provinces of Pakistan including Balochistan and Sindh, the children are not receiving enough of their mother’s milk and are being forced onto a high carbohydrates diet too early. As the result, the children are receiving enough energy food but are not developing physically and mentally. To sum up, it is just a request that the children should be provided adequate diet and should not force high carbohydrates diet too early.
