The vision of Sindh govt that education is free for all has exposed and proved a white lie. Education is the basic right of every child has never been implemented in letter and spirit. Sindh govt has neither focused education nor it had been the top priority of present rulers. This is why even in 21st century there is no any Government Degree College in my home town Tangwani. It is pertinent to mention here that Tangwani is Taluka headquarter since 2004. But unfortunately there is no facility of college education for students. The matter was consistently raised to concerned officers on different forums but all in vain. Surprisingly, there are degree colleges in each and every big and small towns of Sindh province but regretfully the students of Tangwani are deprived of college education facility uptill now. The whole world believes that education is key to success and it is an essential component for progress and prosperity of any society. It’s great misfortune of the area people that bureaurocracy and political leaders never tried to address the major problems of the masses. Our Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW said that “Education is obligatory on every male and female child.” The hundreds of thousands students particularly girls discontinue their studies after matriculation due to having no facility of college education in their home town Tangwani. Mostly the wish and dream of girl students after passing matriculation to get higher education often goes unfulfilled. The parents, students, teachers and civil society highlighted the issue time to time through social media but no any breakthrough was made to establish a degree college at Taluka Tangwani. Obviously, in this regard the role of School Education and Literacy Department govt of Sindh is very disappointing. Recently in fiscal year 2021-22 provincial budget 17 new degree colleges have been sanctioned but once again the long awaited demand of a degree college in Tangwani was willingly ignored. Once again very earnestly, I would like to request the honourable CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah sb and Saeed Ghani Provincial Minister of education and literacy department to kindly ponder over our legitimate demand for establishment of a govt degree college in Tangwani on priority basis so that the students can get college education at their home town without any hindrance or hardships.
