Sujawal: PPP district Sujawal and its sister organizations organized an event to observe the black day at the party,s district secretariat on Monday evening. The event was participated by MPA Mohammad Ali Malkani, District Information Secretary, Veteran PPP leader Abdul Sattar Lohar, President Ladies Wing Firdous Mirbahar, Ramiz Zahur, and people from different walks of life.
MPA Pakistan Peoples Party Mohammad Ali Malkani said that 5 July was the day when a dictator toppled the government of an elected Prime Minister who had the mandate of the people of Pakistan and violated the Constitution of Pakistan. Adding that it was the darkest day in the history of Pakistan that derailed the constitutional mechanism of the country and the people of Pakistan were still bearing the brunt of that day.
Seasoned PPP leader Sattar Lohar recalled the days when the dictator launched a crackdown against the workers of the party and the way they were subjected to brutal torture during the MRD movement. He said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was an internationally recognized leader and the people of Pakistan were still bearing the consequences of his loss.
“Today our country is facing all sorts of crises because it is ruled by the political followers of General- Zia-ul Haq”; said Suraj Sujawali Amid Slogans of Jeay Bhutto, Jeay Jamhuriyat. He further said that only Bilawal Bhutto Zardari possessed the ability to take Pakistan out of this quagmire.
All the participants at the event wore black armbands symbolizing the black day for their party.
