RAWALPINDI, (Parliament Times) : Chairman Tehrik Jawanan Pakistan(TJP) Mohammad Abdullah Hamid Gul while expressing solidarity on the occasion of International Laborer’s Day said in his statement that laborers have a key role to play in making the world so developed. The laborers of the world have failed to get their due. He said that May 1 is symbolically celebrated as Labor Day but no concrete steps have been taken for the future of its children. He said that there should be legislation by the government to make hospitals and schools mandatory for the laborers and their families wherever mills and factories are built so that these poor can get their treatment and their children in schools can be treated by other citizens to be able to benefit from the adornment of education. He further said that at present there is a lot of inflation in Pakistan and the wages of the laborer at the government level are kept very low in which the laborers cannot live well. The government should enact a law to increase the daily wages of the laborers. He said that the government should set up colonies in every city for the workers and allot houses to the workers at low cost and in installments so that the workers who drive the wheels of the country could lead a comfortable life. He said that the working class is disappointed that the political leaders who make big claims have not been able to do anything in Parliament regarding the allocation of their daily wages and rights as there are more capitalist people in Parliament who are a major obstacle to giving these rights to the workers. He said that if all the unions of the country agreed and raised their voice for their rights then there is no reason why they should not be listened to.
