PESHAWAR : Bail plea of Captain (retd) Safdar Awan, the husband of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has been accepted in an assets case by the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
According to media reports Awan was charged with accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income. .
He approached the high court after NAB issued his arrest warrants in the case. The accountability bureau had been instructed to inform him 10 days before issuing his warrants.
Talking to media men outside the court he said his prayers have been fulfilled.
