Srinagar: Senior members and office bearers of JK Salvation Movement in North Kashmir held a meeting and reiterated its call for the Kashmir problem to be resolved through dialogue between India, Pakistan and the people of J&K. The meeting was attended by Ab Rouf, Javid Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad, Ab Qayum , Gh Ahmad Bhat, Fida Hassan, Rayan Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad.
While expressing anguish and resentment over continuous bloodshed , cordon and search operation, night raids and arrests in nook and corner of the occupied state, the leaders said that political settlement and engagement is the only way to move forward.
We love peace and we strive for peace ,said leaders in statement issued to media.
The meeting of party leaders, which lasted more than two hours, observed that there are some indications and we are optimistic about the political developments between India and Pakistan .
The leaders urged Indo-Pak eldership to include genuine Kashmiri leadership in talks .We are sufferers and we are facing the turmoil ,added they. Addressing the meeting Rouf Ahmad asked participants to work at ground level and help people in these hours of agony and turmoil.
The meeting deliberated in detail, the current political situation pertaining to the “movement for right to self-determination”, a spokesperson said in a statement.
None of the basic three parties to this dispute India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir are in a position to avoid any untoward consequences of this visible danger in South Asia,” Rouf Khan warned.
Our movement is a legitimate demand recognized by the United Nations and endorsed by the overwhelming majority of the people of Kashmir since October 1947,” said Rouf Khan.
He urged the pro-freedom people of the state to remain vigilant, steadfast and well-disciplined to take the sacred mission of their resistance movement to its logical conclusion irrespective of use of “military might by India.
