MIRPUR (AJK),   (Parliament Times)  : Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan said on Wednesday “ since Pakistan is a gift from Allah – the Almighty, to the Muslims of South Asia, if we do not protect it, it will be ungratefulness to Almighty”..

“Our ulema, mushaikh and religious parties should play the same role for the security and stability of Pakistan as they did in the movement for the establishment of Pakistan,” he said.

He expressed these views during separate meetings with the chief of Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith Azad Kashmir Danial Shahab Madni and Chairman Azad Jammu and Kashmir Ulema-e-Mushaikh Council Maulana Obaidullah Farooqui in the State metropolis, the AJK President office said Wednesday evening.

The state president said that we would have to seek guidance from the teachings and life of the last Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in every sphere of life including politics, economy and sociology. “The Great Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) through his unprecedented wisdom and unchallenged farsightedness had turned the worst society of his age into the most civilized society in the world and his era is still quoted as a precedence in the world even today,” he added.

Sardar Masood Khan regretted that our reluctance to seek guidance from the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and deviation from the divine principles have left us nowhere and left our politics, economy and social values polluted and decayed. Even today, if we want to rise in the world and achieve success in the hereafter, we have to turn to the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The AJK president greeted the Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith Pakistan Chief Prof Sajid Mir for his election to the Senate of Pakistan for the fifth time, and paid tributes to him for his services to the country and the nation.

During meeting with Maulana Obaidullah Farooqui, Sardar Masood Khan stressed the need for interfaith and sectarian harmony in the liberated territory, and asked Ulema-o-Mushaikh Council to continue its efforts to maintain unity, harmony and mutual respect among the different school of thought.

On this occasion, Maulana Obaidullah Farooq assured the fullest cooperation from Ulema and apprised the state president of the public problems of different areas of Mang and Poonch district.
