LAHORE:  A delegation led by the Chairman LPG Distributors Association Irfan Khokhar called on Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar. Governor Punjab also assured the officials of LPG Distributors Association of arranging their meeting with Federal Minister Asad Umar and resolving their issues.

According to the details, Irfan Khokhar, Chairman LPG Distributors Association, along with Shah Nawaz Saeed, Sheikh Amir Nadeem and Muqaddar Raza, met Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar at Governor’s House Lahore on Monday. During the meeting, they apprised the Governor of their decision to close the LPG plants, shops and transport from March 1st for approval of their demands. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar assured the delegation of his full cooperation in resolving the issues by convening their meeting with Federal Minister Asad Umer.

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the government is working in all sectors to make Pakistan economically strong and steps are being taken to solve their problems on priority . He said that all the issues of LPG Distributors Association will definitely be resolved and they will not have to protest, but it is also the responsibility of the business community to pay their taxes to strengthen the country economically.

Governor Punjab said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan has purged all institutions of political interference and merit and transparency is being ensured. He further said that in the past, institutions have been destroyed by the culture of nepotism and corruption, but the incumbent government has shown zero tolerance policy towards this. He said that the government is pursuing a policy of strengthening the institutions to make the country prosperous.

Chairman LPG Industries Association of Pakistan Irfan Khokhar said that they are ready to extend full cooperation to the government to strengthen the country in the economic field, but the government should also support them, adding he said that LPG is a commodity of daily use for the common man and the livelihood of a large number of poor people depend on it .Problems in this sector will affect the common man, he added. “We expect Governor Punjab to play his role in solving our problems as he has done earlier, “he added.
