Islamabad, (Parliament Times) :  Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Altaf Ahmed Bhat on Monday strongly criticised European union Members for their proposed visit, saying it is a pre-planned visit to dislodge and distort facts about Kashmir freedom movement and asked the world community to take serious note of one-sided report propounded by its members.

We are not against any party, country or organisations nor do we believe in the confrontation between nations or countries but we wish for a serious study and review of the current situation post abrogation of Article370 & 35A.
The EU deputation lacks credibility, hence its report is biased and unfounded, added Altaf Ahmed Bhat.

Since the envoy is the guest of the Indian regime, hence its report about Kashmir situation can by no means be fair, resolute and impartial.
Claiming the European Union members lack credibility, Altaf Ahmed Bhat termed its very visit a futile and useless exercise.
This is clear and evident that the members of the delegation won’t meet any resistance leader, hence this exercise is all the failure one, claimed Altaf Ahmed Bhat.

The delegation will be treated as state guests and will enjoy the government hospitality, he said and urged the European Union to keep all these facts in mind and reject the report submitted by the Indian authorities.

Chairman J&KSM Bhat further said that While Modi led BJP government of India is trying hard to show fake normalcy in IIOJ&K, the situation in IIOJ&K is worsened. Due to the military siege and crackdowns, The Backbone: Economy of the region almost collapsed, Unemployment soars to 16.6%, Industries have been forced into loan defaults or even closures. Target Killing of youth, closure of educational institutions, and the ban on the Internet made education a dream for Kashmiris.

Healthcare is still restricted; and the local and regional media have not regained what little independence they had, changes to land laws have resulted in further erosion of political and economic rights. Implementation of the much-criticized new media policy led to the dis-empanelment of about 20 media outlets. While by defying the International Laws, domicile certificates to non-resident hardcore Hindus are being issued to bring about rapid changes in the demography of the region. He added.

Altaf Ahmed Bhat while criticising the biased role played by deputation in past urged EU, UN, and other International Human Rights Organizations to not accept reports put forth by state-sponsored visits, rather independent and credible deputation must be sent who could investigate the ground realities, and also meet with the resistance leadership.
