Lahore:    Pakistan gets a 1-0 lead in three match T20I series after beating South Africa by 3 runs.
Pakistan set a 170 runs target for South Africa while batting first at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Muhammad Rizwan scored a brilliant maiden T20I hundred and became only second Pakistani to score hundred in all three formats.
Visitors elected to bowl first after winning the toss. Babar Azam opened the innings along with Rizwan but Babar was run out early in the match. Muhammad Rizwan held the nerve and blasted a hundred of just 64 balls.
Amid a brilliant Rizwan ton, green caps managed to reach a total of 169-6 from their quota of 20 overs.
South Africa’s Janneman Malan and Hendricks opened the inning for the visitor. South Africa’s start was not quite the one which could lead them to an easy run chase.
Hendricks tried to resist and scored 54 runs. No other Protease batter could stand in front of Pakistan bowling attack and South Africa manage to score 166-6 from their quota of 20 overs.
Match entered an interesting phase where 6 were required of last ball. However the South Africa’s Fortuin could not get the elevation from Faheem Ashraf’s last delivery and managed to pick up 2.
