Remembering, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui is a highly educated Pakistani citizen from American universities. Positive change in the world through education was her dream. The tragic events that befell them (dreams) became obstacles to interpretation. She was abducted from Karachi on March 30, 2003 during the rule of Pervez Musharraf and suddenly disappeared. In October 2008, Evan Ridley, a British non-Muslim journalist, revealed to the world media that Aafia was a “prisoner number 650” in the Bagram Airbase prison in Afghanistan. She was accompanied by Imran Khan as the head of the PTI. Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s captivity in the United States evokes mixed feelings and thoughts in Pakistan. Many misunderstandings and deliberate misinformation also made the situation worse. Some people think that she is living a very painful life in which she is being physically abused in various ways.Aafia Siddiqui’s release and repatriation request was submitted recently. But, Foreign Ministry report declared it unsatisfactory. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has termed as unsatisfactory the report of the Foreign Ministry on the petition filed for the release and repatriation of Dr Aafia Siddiqui. According to private TV, the petition filed for the release and repatriation of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui was heard in Islamabad. Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court heard the case. Lawyer Aafia Siddiqui said that Dr. Aafia Siddiqui was abducted, no update yet. Is she alive or not? Aamir Farooq inquired whether Pakistan has taken up the matter with the United States at the governmental level. Justice Amir Farooq said that it is the responsibility of the state to protect every citizen from which it cannot be exempted. Secretary level officers should come and tell what progress has been made in this matter so far. Deputy Attorney General Raja Khalid Mahmood said that our consulate has taken up the matter. But, what next? No one has an idea. Dr. Siddiqui is being held in the Carswell Prison in the US state of Texas and has been renamed the Federal Center for Health. There are only female detainees who suffer from some form of health, especially mental illness. It is a large prison guarded by the US Navy. It is located near Dallas, the second largest city in Texas, with about a thousand female prisoners.
