Mithi: The 2-day Shuhudai APS Cricket Tournament, organized by Social Activist Barkat Jan Bajer in the collebration with Kotak Decoration and Thar Penaflex Mithi, concluded on Sunday with distribution of prizes among the winner and runner teams and best players.
The cricket teams from different towns of Tharparkar district played in tournament however the Amar Munesh Club of Mithi clinched the trophy by defeating the Durrani cricket club Mithi in the final of the tournament.
GR Junejo,Fawad Alim,Salem Khskheli,Barkat Jan Bajer,Akram Lahoti,Aslam Bajer,Mashoq Umrani,Ahraf Khokhar,Mashoq Samon,Raja Sharma and others were present at the prize distribution ceremony.
The Amar Munesh Cricket club, the winner team and runner team was awarded with cash prizes.
Man of the Match given to the Lal Kumar, Best Bowler Mashoq samoon and Man of the Series was given to the Mr Lal.
Barkat Jan Bajer and other organizers of the tournament were praised for their efforts.
Tournament Organiser Barkat Jan Bajer said that organizing cricket tournament was aimed to promote health activities and encouraging the youths to show their talent. “The tournament was dedicated to Martyers, on his 6th death anniversary, as he was the identity of Tharparkar, and we had been organizing tournament every year to pay homage to martyers,” he said.
