ISLAMABAD: Zonal presidents and senior leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front conducted an online zoom meeting on December 17 to oversee the crisis in the organization in light of the unconstitutional decision of November 18. The meeting also managed various recommendations on the efforts being made to resolve the crisis as soon as possible and discussed the future course of action. The meeting was moderated by the US based Senior leader of the organisation Mr. Farooq Siddiqui. Raja Muzaffar Khan, Farooq Siddiqui, Altaf Qadri, Qasim Khokhar, Haleem Khan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan were also present on the occasion. Zone President Dr. Tauqeer Gilani, Europe Zone President Tanveer Chaudhry, Gulf Zone Convener Malik Shafiq, UK Zone President Tehseen Gilani, US Zone General Secretary Sardar Ashraf Gulshan and senior leaders from all zones and Indian Occupied Kashmir participated in the online meeting. The participants of the meeting once again categorically rejected the November 18 decision in the name of the Supreme Council of the organization, and called it unconstitutional, unusual and destructive to the organization and aims and objectives of the Liberation Front.
The participants of the meeting agreed upon formation of an interim council or ad hoc committee of zonal heads. Few senior organizational leaders suggested resolving the organizational crisis at the central level and to continue the consultation on the formation of the council and committee for a few more days.
The participants in the meeting pledged to intensify all legal, political and diplomatic endeavours for the release of the Liberation Front Chairman imprisoned in Indian jails. And decided that Yasin Malik (imprisoned) should be released on January 26 in all zones and where possible in front of Indian embassies. There will be a full-scale protest against Indian government also.
Besides, senior organizational leaders and zonal officials from the United Kingdom, Three leaders from Kashmir, Aslam Mirza, Masoom Ansari, Nazim Bhatti, Shakeel Jral, Abrar Nisar, Senior Leaders and Zonal Officers from Azad Kashmir Gilgit-Baltistan Zone Sabir Ansari, Zahid Habib Sheikh, Tauseef Jral Advocate, Shakeel Chaudhry Advocate, Saad Ansari Advocate, Senior Leader from Europe Zone And zonal officials Mr. Mushtaq Dewan Chaudhry, Hafiz Mazhar Iqbal Naeemi, Masood Iqbal Mir, Mohammad Ashfaq Qamar, Arfeen Mughal, Javed Kashmiri, Shams Din Wani, Niqash Mushtaq, Ibadat Chaudhry, Khursheed Butt, and Suraya Siddiqui and Matin from Canada.
