MUZAFFARABAD,  (Parliament Times) : The Azad Jammu and Kashmir cabinet which met here on Tuesday has approved to impose complete lockdown in Azad Kashmir for 15 days to save the precious lives of the people from deadly corona pandemic .

The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan presided over the meeting.

The meeting also approved the dissolution of AKMIDC and its merger in the Mineral Resources department. The Inspector General Police briefed the cabinet about the law and order situation while secretary health informed the cabinet about the current situation of COVID-19. The Cabinet also approved the law for the regulatory authority of NGOs.

Speaking on the occasion the Prime Minister said that it was a difficult decision to impose lockdown but has taken for the greater interest of the people of the state to save their lives from the deadly pandemic.

He urged the overseas Kashmiri to postpone their visit to Azad Kashmir in view of the present serious situation of the pandemic.

He said awareness campaign should be launched effectively and decisions of the government should be implemented.
