ISLAMABAD: 908 more people tested Covid positive after the tests of 29,449 over the last twenty-four hours.
According to the latest statistics, the virus claimed lives of sixteen more people during the last twenty-four hours.
The figure of patients recovered from the virus has reached 312,638. There are now 11,695 active cases in the country.
Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said that National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has tightened restrictions on some high risk public activities in the face of increase in coronavirus cases.
Punjab, which has the recorded the second-highest tally of infections after Sindh in the country, has imposed 491 “micro smart lockdowns” across the province.
The United Nations and World Bank pleaded for schools to remain open despite the novel coronavirus risks.
