ISLAMABAD/MIRPUR (AJK):: (Parliament Times) Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Health, said that the health of the people is one of the main priorities of the Prime Minister. Achieving development without a healthy society is not possible. All must support the government. There are obstacles in providing health services to the
people. They will be eliminated in stages.I Really thankful to Panah for informing me about the public issues.
This was stated by Major General (retd) Masood-ur-Rehman Kayani, President Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH) and his entourage, Sanaullah Ghman, General Secretary Panah, Major General (retd) Muhammad Ashraf, Acting Vice Presidents Ijaz Akbar, Ghulam Abbas. Panah President Major General (retd) Masood-ur-Rehman Kayani said that the Panah has been educating the people about the causes of heart disease for the last 36 years, Smoking, sugary drinks and obesity are one of the main causes of diseases. Asylum seekers passed a health tax bill of Rs. 1 on asmall bottle of sugary drinks and Rs. 10 per pack of cigarettes from the Cabinet and Prime MinisterImran Khan. To date, however, no positive developments have taken place.
Panah President Major General (retd) Masood-ur-Rehman Kayani said that This is a matter of publichealth, taking into account the factors that endanger the health of the people should be among the priorities of the government.
General Secretary Sanaullah Ghumman said that smoking and consumption of sugary drinks causevarious diseases in the human body including heart, cancer and diabetes. Only by enacting legislation to prevent this can a healthy society be established, Legislation to prevent unhealthy items, which needs time to be reviewed, will only help establish a healthy society.
