ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said Pakistani nation has braved enmity of neighboring country, terrorism, calamities and viruses and we pledge on this occasion of Independence day we will remain steadfast in future and are prepared to face challenges valiantly.

He said this in his message on 74th independence day of Pakistan here Friday.

He held it is day of paying tribute to those who had sacrificed their lives while defending the frontiers of the country and is also the day to pledge to adhere to the ideology of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Our scions rendered the sacrifice of their lives for defending the mother land and ideology of Pakistan, Islam.

We faced multiple challenges during the last 70 years. We fought war both on internal and external fronts. We will evolve such system in this country which corresponds to the ideology and objectives of this country. We are going to work out such system wherein rule of law remains in place. We have selected state of Medina our role model”, he remarked.

On Kashmir he said we feel highly grieved over the plight of our Kashmiri brethren who are being subjected to atrocities and oppression in Occupied Kashmir today, he remarked. They are under Indian forces siege since the last one year. We stand by them in their struggle for their right to self-determination. We will continue to raise our voice for our Kashmiri brethren on every forum.
