RAWALPINDI: Chaklala Cantonment Board has increased house tax up to 20-30 percent and started the process of sending house tax challans to the property owners regarding enhanced house tax for the fiscal year 2020-2021..
According to the Cantonment Board sources tax has been increased by 20 percent on residential properties and 30 percent on commercial properties. The target of house taxes has been set at Rs 400 million during the fiscal financial year as against Rs 300 million of previous year. .
According to sources the areas of Chaklala Cant Board has overall 27,000 house tax units including 6,000 commercial units.
Cant Board Revenue department has said this increase has been done on routine basis after 3 years.
