ISLAMABAD: The Punjab government is once again considering to keep markets and shopping malls closed for three days – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – a week.
According to details, the Cabinet Sub-committee on Coronavirus is expected to hold a meeting today in which final decision will be made after analyzing the Supreme Court’s decision.
Provincial Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal said in his statement that Eid has passed and standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be strictly monitored from now onwards.
He said, “Those markets which do not follow SOPs will be sealed. Markets will have to remove encroachments as well and letting them run business will be conditional to that.”
