KARACHI: Trustee Al-Mustafa Education Board and prominent industrialist Farhan Ashrafi has welcomed the extension of school holidays by the federal and Sindh governments till July 15, 2020 to save innocent children from coronavirus epidemic. But at the same time, he expressed deep concern over demand of private school owners to open the schools from 1st June 2020.

He appealed to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah not to allow the reopening of schools until the corona epidemic was completely under control.

In his appeal, Farhan Ashrafi said that the parents would not accept any self-made suggestion of the private school owners to open schools against the decision of the Sindh government as the corona epidemic is not a joke but a fact. Therefore, the Sindh government should take notice and don’t allow to open schools till COVID-19 threats were averted.

“Parents will not send their children to school until the dangers of coronavirus are eliminated. On the contrary, private school owners want to the lives of innocent children are at stake,” he added.

He said perhaps school owners are worried about making more money than the lives of innocent children, which is a great shame even at a time when the Corona epidemic has created a serious situation.

“When parents are not willing to send their children to school till COVID-19 threats are averted then why private school owners were imposing their decisions?” He asked.

Farhan Ashrafi appealed to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to save innocent children from coronavirus epidemic and not to allow the reopening of schools before July 15, 2020. Otherwise, the economic sacrifices and efforts of the Sindh government to control the coronavirus may likely to be wasted.
