Hameed Butt has paid great tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone for their peerless contribution in the ongoing liberation struggle.

In a statement issued here on Thursday Butt said that the duo had sacrificed their lives for the noble cause of freedom from Indian occupation. He said that Shaheed-e-Millat played important role for the return and recovery of Moye Muqaddas (Holy Relic) under the banner of a united front in early 60s and till his last breath while striving for unity among Kashmiris.

Highlighting the sacrifices of Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Abdul Ghani Lone he said that Lone breathed his last while defending unity and oneness of the Kashmiri nation. He said that the best tribute to be offered to these great sons of soil was to safeguard unity and oneness among the ranks and files of resistance camp.

JKLF acting chairman on the occasion said that the sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri youth would not go in vain. He extended his condolences to senior Hurriyat leader and chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and senior JKLF leader Saleem Nanaji on the martyrdom of their son and nephew respectively. Sehrai’s son, Junaid Sehrai was martyred at Nawakadal while as Nanaji’s 12 years old nephew Basim Aijaz, a class 7 student, was martyred yesterday by the trigger happy Indian forces.

Butt also condemned burning of dozens of houses by Indian forces at Nawakadal, Srinagar and termed it as a worst kind of State terrorism of which the world should take a serious notice.
