Following the footsteps of other countries to mitigate Covid- 19 PTI government took few steps for the welfare of the people. For instance in order to avoid direct social contact and public gathering and to secure common masses from this deadly pandemic , government has imposed temporary lockdowns and closure of holy shrines and sacred places. Since no vaccine has been discovered yet and the above mentioned strategies are in vogue worldwide PTI government has also opted the same trend and has flown with the prevailing tide of controlling this overwhelmed deadly virus .But unfortunately , I feel profound disappointment and frustration over those who are taking these precautionary measures as against fixed domain of life and deriving religious connotations out of them. Further these steps are regarded as ” wild goose” sadly. I am afraid by doing so it would give air to religious controversies and would harm the religious sentiments. Therefore, we as a nation cannot add fuel to the already conflicts and cannot afford to spread hatred amidst this killing virus. On the other hand, Director General of WHO in a press conference on April 11th 2020 has warned about dangers of premature lifting of Covid -19 restrictions and has alarmed the infected countries to remain cautious as lifting restrictions could lead to deadly resurgence. Hence the importance and implementation of these measures become more essential and compulsory. Now being a responsible citizen of this country , it is mandatory and obligatory to abide by the rules and restrictions implemented by the government seriously. Further, I would urge and appeal to all that as a nation we must act sensibly and stand by the government in this tough situation to curb this menace as soon as possible. I am hopeful that valiant nation like Pakistan would overcome this predicament soon. We should pray for the joyful days to be back soon. Stay home, stay safe.
