Quetta: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) and paramedical staff again staged protest in Quetta as government failed to fulfill its agreement to provide them corona virus medical gear.
YDA held a torch-bearing rally in front of Civil Hospital Quetta and also staged a sit-in near Chief Minister House. They demanded action against the police personnel who resorted to violence against the doctors during the protest on Monday.
The protesting doctors also demanded personal protective equipment (PPE) kits for health workers who are on the front lines of the country’s battle against the deadly corona virus.
An YDA spokesperson said that the provincial government got over signatures on receipt to provide N95 masks to health workers but instead gave us paper masks to fight coronavirus pandemic.
Young doctors and paramedical staff in Quetta had ended their strike on Tuesday after successful talks with the Balochistan government, but had to stage the protest again due to failed promises of medical gears.
