Rawalpindi:    (Parliament Times)    Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Narcotics Sheikh Rashid Shafique has said that educational Institutions in Private sector laying vital role in provision of quality educational facilities besides contributing for improving rate of literacy in the country. Addressing annual prize distribution ceremony of Group of Grammar Public School ceremony at the Auditorium of Rawalpindi Arts Council on Friday, he said that by the dedicated efforts of Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, a new IT University would be made functional at Punjab House Rawalpindi while Government Postgraduate Girls College Satellite Town, Rawalpindi had already been upgraded up to level of University. He also acknowledged the keen interest of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar for development and educational projects of Rawalpindi and said that Grammer School has set example of quality education, character building and excellent carrier planning of students. Sheikh Rashid Shafiq lauded the devotion and dedication of reputed educationists Syed Shamim Haider for provision of educational facilities in thickly populated areas of Rawalpindi and assured his full cooperation for the cause. Referring the on-going development projects, Sheikh Rashid Shafique said that construction work on Lai Express Way and Ring Road projects will be started very soon while the under-construction Project of Mother and Child Hospital would also be completed without any delay. He awarded prizes to the students showing distinctions in SSC Examinations and congratulated students and parents as well as faculty members. Addressing to the ceremony Syed Shamim Haider said that education is the only way of progress and we are committed to maintain the high standard of education with team efforts. He also appreciated the close cooperation of parents and teaching faculty for achieving required results in SSC examination.
