Islamabad:   (Parliament Times)    Expressing grave concern over the deteriorating health condition of incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, the JKLF leaders during a press conference here on Thursday condemened Modi led fascist regime for subjecting the ailing JKLF chief to political vendetta and deliberately endangering his life.

Demanding immediate and unconditional release of all pro-freedom leaders the JKLF leaders said, “Mr. Malik has been on continues hunger strike for past couple of weeks”. Rafiq Dar while giving the details said that Yasin Mlik’s solitary confinement at Tihar Jail has been one of the reasons of his falling health. He said that Indian authorities who have been in the habit of leveling false allegations against profreedom leaders have come up with fresh cases against Malik. On the other hand he said that Indian authorities have re-opened more than three decade-old false cases against JKLF chairman and other leaders.

“Using video link instead of his personal presence during court hearings, at times delinking or muting the video was yet another gimmick to disallow and deprive Mr. Malik and Showkat A. Bakhshi (vice chairman JKLF) from Ambedkar Nagar Central Jail of presenting their cases effectively”, he said adding that in the absence of their defense lawyers it was quite difficult to present their case”.

He said that hearing of the cases in a court in Jammu was yet another ploy to keep party leaders involved in the case on toes. “These mean tactics clearly show that Modi led government of India is following an agenda of political vendetta against Yasin malik in particular and against JKLF in general”, Dar said. Highlighting the pathetic approach and callousness on the part of Indian authorities he said, “On 11th of March Yasin Malik, unmoved on a stretcher or bed with a drip in his arm vein and a doctor standing nearby was produced and what came to surprise everybody was that the hearing was adjourned for next day”.

“This clearly indicated that the said judge instead behaves more like a police officer or BJP party worker than a judge”, he said adding that the callous approach of the said judge came to fore when he ordered superintendent jail to produce him before the court on video link the next day in whatever condition he is in.

The JKLF leaders on the occasion announced to hold a protest rally in Islamabad on Saturday, 14th March to highlight the plight of Kashmiri prisoners.

During the press conference the JKLF spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar was accompanied by Vice Chairman Saleem Haroon, Dy. Secretary General Sajid Siddiqui, Central Finance Secretary Khawaja Manzoor Ahmed Chishti and other senior party leaders.
