ISLAMABAD:     Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has extended judicial remand of co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur till November 26 in fake bank accounts case.

The court has reserved judgment on the petition seeking shifting Asif Ali Zardari to Karachi in connection with his treatment.

Judge Azam Khan of AC Islamabad took up for hearing mega money laundering and Park Lane cases with reference to fake bank accounts case Tuesday.

Faryal Talpur was presented in the court. Former president Asif Ali Zardari could not be presented in the court.

Latif Khosa Advocate while arguing on petition seeking Asif Zardari shifting to Karachi in connection with his treatment told the court the whole medical history of Asif Ali Zardari is in Karachi. Better treatment is also possible there.

NAB Prosecutor while opposing the petition said Asif Zardari has been shifted to PIMS HOSPITAL and it has been given the status of sub jail. All the medical facilities are being provided to him therein. If he wants private doctor assistance then he should send application to the government on this count.

Latif Khosa said they are ready to send one patient abroad and on the other hand Asif Zardari is not being allowed to undergo treatment of his own choice in Pakistan. Asif Zardari has neither begged nor will beg to government.

NAB Prosecutor said court could order for shifting him to hospital. Now he should give application to government for remaining facilities. The petition seeking shifting to Karachi for treatment is not maintainable. Asif Zardari was shifted to hospital on the recommendations of medical board constituted by the government. Giving application to government is not begging.

The court while extending the judicial remand of Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur till November 26 adjourned the hearing of the case.
