Khalid Sibtain,

Sargodha: Provincial Minister for Labor Wafarad Yasin Ansar Majeed Khan, taking strict notice of public grievances over severe load shedding of needle gas across the city, summoned regional manager Sui Gas Omar Hayat to the circuit house and directed him to go all over the city. Ensure consistent gas supply in the areas. The provincial minister said that gas load shedding would not be tolerated at all. He said that the residents of Sargodha city have been treated like stepmothers for a long time. Loadshedding of gas for 15 to 16 hours daily has led to the suspension of life of people. Children have to go to school hungry and having lunch is difficult because of lack of gas. The public is desperate for a big protest. The basic agenda of the government is to provide relief to the people in every field of life and the possible management of needle gas, negligence and neglect will not be tolerated. If there is any notification of load shedding on the query of Provincial Minister Ansar Majeed, the Regional Manager has quietly agreed. The provincial minister said that people have voted for them to solve their problems and that their problems and concerns are the top priority. He directed the RM to regularly advertise the areas where load shedding was to be carried out and the numbers of the officers responsible for the needle gas should be provided to the public so that the victims could contact them directly. He said that the line licenses are an internal issue and should not affect the people. On the occasion, RM Omar Hayat said that in the last few years there was a political pressure on the officers of the institution and the papers were worked on. RM said that steps are being taken to improve gas supply in the city on an emergency basis. Gradual relief is being provided to the people. He said that in the past there has been a high level inquiry against the transfer of merit for personal or political interests and the monkey allocation of private funds, which will determine the culprits and punish them.
