ISLAMABAD:     (Parliament Times)    Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari opined that the people of Pakistan have strong historical ties with the people of Kashmir and no power on earth can disrupt this deep rooted bond. He further added that the dream of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent would not be complete without the freedom of Indian Occupied Kashmir, which, with its 80 percent Muslim population was supposed to be a part of Pakistan.

Addressing a gathering at OPF Girls College, F-8/2, Islamabad to mark the defense and Kashmir solidarity day, Mr. Bukhari pledged to support the freedom movement of the Muslims of Indian Occupied Kashmir and condemned the heinous acts of terrorism imparted by the Indian forces on women and children violating the basic human rights of the Kashmiris. Mr. Bukhari assured on behalf of the government to raise Kashmir issue at every international forum including the UN General Assembly.

Mr. Bukhari, while praising our armed forces added that we are fully capable to overthrow any external aggression but we still believe in the peaceful solution of Kashmir Issue according to the will of people of Kashmir, as guaranteed by the UN resolutions.

Managing Director OPF, Dr. Amer Sheikh while addressing the gathering urged the international community to raise its voice in seeking an end to the violations of human rights and state terrorism in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
