KABUL:     Congratulating the nation on the eve of Eid ul Fitr, Afghan president Ashraf Ghani has announced that a meeting between him and Imran Khan will take place on June 27 in Islamabad.

According to Afghan media he announced to release 887 prisoners on the eve of Eid ul Fitr.

Ashraf Ghani also directed security forces and government employees to remain impartial during upcoming presidential elections in the country adding the elections should take place in transparent manner.

PM Imran Khan had reiterated resolve of peaceful and stable Afghanistan during his meeting with Afghan president Ashraf Ghani a few days back in Saudi Arabia.

He had said that peace process with inclusion of people of Afghanistan is indispensable for political solution of Afghan issue.

Imran Khan had told Afghan president his stance on development of SouthAsia. Later both the leaders had reached consensus on bolstering cooperation in security, trade, energy and several other sectors.

PM Imran Khan had also said that regional peace is linked to peace in Afghanistan. Pakistan will continue to play its role for peace in neighboring country, he added.
