MIRPUR (AJK): Jammu Kashmir National Front deputy Chairman has said that Kashmiri
people are fighting for complete freedom from India and there can be
no alternative to freedom. Altaf Hussain Wani said in a statement that
Kashmiri people have been sacrificing to break the chains of slavery and
their only aim is the acknowledgment of their political rights which are
guaranteed by the United Nations Organisation.
National Front deputy chairman said that New Delhi has been using its
institutions not only to create confusion among the people of Kashmir
but also to derail their genuine and legitimate struggle. For this, India
has been using character assassination policy against the resistance
leadership. Also, misunderstandings are being created among the
masses so that they get disillusioned about their struggle and goal.
However, people know their aim and they are fully aware about their
goal for which they have been sacrificing their youngsters. People know
that election and selection is not any solution to the long pending
dispute of Kashmir. It has to be resolved through political measures and
New Delhi has to take those measures if it is serious about the lasting
peace and stability in the south Asian region.
National Front deputy chairman strongly condemned the ongoing
arrest spree in the disputed region especially in south Kashmir and said,
had arrests made any impact on the political issues India would still
have been under the British imperialistic rule. He strongly condemned
the arresting of Kashmiri youth and said that it is aimed at spoiling their
educational career.
