MIRPUR :    (Parliament Times)     The Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider says his government would provide interest free loans amounting to 75 crore rupees to women to enable them get a respectable livelihood.

Addressing a reception at Khaliqabad on Sunday he said past successive governments did not take any such initiatives for the welfare of women. He said his government was providing loans to help them stand on their own feet for a respectable living in the society.

“Institute of Technical education would be set up to overcome unemployment crisis in the State” he said.

Assuring to resolve the longstanding issue of water supply to the residents of Mirpur he said water and power are essential parts of our lives now. He said Khaliqabad residents would be provided water either from greater water supply scheme or a separate scheme.

The Premier said he was well aware of problems of Mangla dam affected people. People of Khaliqabad wholeheartedly supported PML-N in the last general elections, he stated. He said government was trying to fulfil all the promises made with the people before the elections.

The Prime Minister said land business in Mirpur has been rolled back however residents of Khaliqabad who for some reason could not get ownership rights would now get it. Affected people by landslides would get compensation of their houses and alternative plots as pere law. He directed the deputy commissioner to compile the lists of those who would be given right of properties. He also gave directives to save the building of Pothi Bensi school from water.

Mr. Haider said under Prime Minister infrastructure development programme water and link roads and other projects all over AJK would be completed.

AJK minister Ch. Muhammad Saeed, DG MDA Ch. Ijaz Raza, administrator district council Lala Abdul Malik, administrator MC Tahir Mehmood Mirza, deputy commissioner Sardar Adnan Khurshid, SSP Syed Riaz Haider Bukhari and others were present on the occasion.
