Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regularity Authority (OGRA) on Monday increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs3.50 per kg.
The price of 1kg of LPG is now Rs133.50, instead of Rs130 per kg, according to a press release. With Rs41 increased in domestic cylinder price, the new price of domestic cylinder is Rs1,523 kg and commercial cylinder Rs6,091. The OGRA made that announcement in a notification issued here on Monday.
According to the notification, the price increase has been made following increased the price of LPG in the international market. The LPG cylinder price has increased from $525 to $545 in the international market.
LPG Distributors Association of Pakistan Chairman Irfan Khokhar said batter policies of the government resulted less increase in prices as compared to the international market.
