Karachi: Sindh Gov’t Teacher’s organization GSTA has announced boycott of educational activities across province against the torture on teachers by police.
Government Secondary Teachers Association (GSTA) President Ashraf Khazkhaili said that no classes will be conducted in schools across Sindh.
It is feared matric and inter examinations may be affected due to boycott of teachers.
A day earlier, teachers staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club when police fired tear gas and also baton charged the protesting teachers.
Teachers have demanded of provincial government that salaries should be given to those teachers immediately who were recruited in 2012 in different districts of Sindh and also fulfill their other demands including JST and HST teacher’s promotions.
