ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Foundation University Rawalpindi Campus (FURC) organized its Sports week. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor (Retd) Director FURC encouraged students to participate in sports by stating its importance in the development of character.
Opening ceremony comprised of many performances which
caught attention of the audience and kept them at the edge of their
seats. After opening ceremony basketball, volleyball, badminton and table- tennis matches were completed on the very first day. On second day futsal matches were played at Ayub Park. Finals of outdoor events were administered on 3 rd day as this was the last day for outdoor events. On the fourth day, all games were completed and their results were compiled. After that closing ceremony was held and Pro Rector Brig. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor (Retd) was Chief Guest.
Food Festival was also organized with the sports week. It included different food stalls, games and jewelry. The event was much appreciated by Chief Guest.
