Pakistan Railway officials said that Samjhota express train service has been suspended due to escalating Indo-Pak tensions and therefore it will not depart from Lahore.
A day earlier, Railway Lahore Division spokesperson said that train will depart for India at 8 o clock in the morning from Lahore railway station.
Samjhota express departed for Atari, India from Lahore two days of a week on Monday and Thursday.
On the other hand, Samjhota express reached Lahore from Karachi and passengers are still waiting at Lahore Railway station.
Due to sudden suspension of train, passengers who wanted to go back India are facing difficulties and wished that relations between both countries should be resolved through talks.
