Islamabad: (PR) Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) has
planned to introduce an electronic office system in all of its departments to speed up the ongoing operations and swift completion of management work. Pakistan Agricultural Research Council
has successfully developed e-office application with the help of Ministry of Information Technology (Mo IT), through National Information Technology Board (NITB), Islamabad Dr. Yusuf Zafar, Ex-Chairman, PARC Chairman initiated this move to lessen the burden on high officials while performing their day to day tasks. This system would help officials to monitor and dispose of their assignments even without their physical appearance in the office. The officials on their private local and foreign as well as official tours would be able to do urgent tasks this way. Addressing to Ceremony last week, Dr. Yusuf Zafar, Chairman, PARC shared his views that the e-office system would ensure that official matters would not remain pending for long and
that students and universities would be facilitated due to quick responses to their complaints and requests. He further said that it was modern approach to deal with the work and that homework
to introduce this new system had already been completed. Dr. Yusuf Zafar further added that developing e-office application suite for accelerating the pace of work and better maintenance of record in other ministries and departments. On the occasion, Ch. Jameel Ahmed Warraich NITB Rep. while sharing his opinion said that the
project is rolling out in more than 25 ministries and division. About 12 of them have cut-over to e-office suite and more than 7,000 federal government employees have been trained on the e- office application, he added. Mr. Amanullah, Director, MIS & ICT, PARC briefed that audience regarding the implementation and progress of E-Office System in PARC. Director, MIS & ICT further added that now it is the responsibility of all PARC officers / officials to take the ownership for successful implementation of E-office system in PARC. He further stated that functioning of E-Office system in PARC would ensure more efficient, good governance, transparency and smooth functioning in our day to day official working.
