Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) On the directions of Chairman Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo Protest Procession followed by a rally was held under the aegis of International Forum for Justice and Human rights JK 23 Feb 2019 on Saturday in reminiscence of Kunan Posh Pura incident.

Students in rally chanted slogans against Indian atrocities besides condemnation of Kunnan Posh Pura gang raped being committed by Indian Armed forces in 1991.

Students marched from Fatima Jinnah Post graduate college to CMH chowk holding banners and placards highlighting India brutalities in addition of appealing United Nations to take stern notice on current situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman International forum for justice and Human rights Mushtaq ul Islam said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have not forgotten the Kunnan Posh Pura incident, “atrocities and gang rapes of Kashmiri women is a question mark on Indian so called democracy, we can still feel the pain” he reiterated.

He said that gang rapes and harassment on Kashmiri women are considered as war weapons of Indian armed forces.

“Thousands of women were raped, but international community remained silent spectator on it” Mushtaq lamented.

He appealed United Nations to conduct an impartial and un-biased investigation in Kunan Posh Pura, Kupwara incident.

He also condemned the threats, banishment and violence on Kashmiri students by Hindu extremists and crack down on Hurriyat leadership and other youngsters in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali on the occasion, said that the Kashmiri students have been expelled from different universities in India and beaten by other students because of their identity as Kashmiri especially after Pulwama incident.

He said that all Kashmiri who are working in Indian cities are not safe, “United Nations must complete its promise of plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir”, Ghazali stated.

“United Nation must take stern notice of deteriorating situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir and must intervene to maintain peace in the region” Uzair Ghazali added.

Professor Nusrat Razzaq, Usman Ali Hashim including students Taskeen Butt, Aroosa Altaf, Jannat, Iqra Usman and Ghazala addressed on the occasion.
