ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar has said in National Assembly (NA) all should remove their misconception as I am independent and I am not under any pressure whatsoever but I take all decisions independently.

Opposition voiced strong protest during NA session on Thursday. NA speaker Asad Qaisar said “ I will not allow any one to do so. I will give opportunity to all to speak.

“I had told former Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi a day before that there is no pressure from any side on me. I take all my decisions independently. I tell all that they should remove their misperception I don’t accept any pressure”, he stated.

He said this on the occasion when PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah was condemning arrest of speaker Sindh Assembly in the house.

When NA speaker gave mike to former speaker NA Fahmida Mirza then opposition members started protesting in front of dais. This led to chanting of slogans against each other by treasury and opposition benches.

Speaker NA said he would not allow any one to do so. I will give opportunity to every one to speak. But protest continued.

NA speaker adjourned the session till 10 a.m Friday.
