Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi District Administration and police on Saturday declared that Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 was responsible of deaths occurred in Rawalpindi awful fire incident in which at least four women, including a would-be bride had died.
The incident had occurred few weeks earlier when at least four women, including a would-be bride, died as a mysterious fire engulfed a house in Satellite Town of Rawalpindi.
The administration written in its submitted report that Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 poor planning, lack of emergency equipment’s unavailability of water were the main reasons of women death.
It stated that Rescue 1122 team vehicles had reached at site after 21 minutes and their water end after ten minutes. Moreover, rescue personnel failed to reach upper story of the house.
It further mentioned that owing to the delay response women died because of suffocation. The rescue team had also lacked special mocks, torch, and emergency oxygen kit.
It was worth mentioned here that in this sorrowful incident women identified as 24-year-old Sana Tariq, Hina, 14, Hifza, 20, Minahil, 25, and 22-year-old Naina lost their lives. Three injured women had been shifted to Benazir Bhutto hospital in critical condition, while one of them succumbed to her injuries before the rescue.
