ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) speaker Asad Qaisar has said that such a legislation be enacted which affords benefit to the people directly.
State minister for parliamentary affairs Ali Muhammad Khan met NA Speaker Asad Qaisar Thursday in parliament house and exchanged views on the matters related to legislation.
NA speaker directed minister of state for parliamentary affairs the process of establishment of standing committees should be completed in next session of NA. All the hiccups be removed by taking along opposition to activate the committees, he added.
The government and opposition should shun their differences over the matter standing committees, he urged.
“We want such legislation which benefits the people directly because people elect us and send us to parliament for resolution of their problems”, he remarked.
NA speaker said “ we want to make NA an ideal institution with reference to legislation.
