MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) A meeting of district administration Muzaffarabad reviewed the arrangements made for Urs of Sahin Saheli Sarkar here on Thursday.
It was chaired by deputy commissioner Muzaffarabad division and attended by DG Auqaf Mufti Ibrahim Aziz, director Auqaf Sardar Tariq Mehmood, SSP Raja Akmal Khan, assistant director rescue 1122 Kh. Umar Rasheed, information officer Maqsood Ahmed Mir and assistant commissioner Asim Khalid Awan.
Sardar Tariq Mehmood told the meeting that the annual Urs would as usually kick off on January 13 and commence on January 21. He told that minister Auqaf would give bath to the Mazar of the saint on the opening day and lay floral wreath on his grave. Mehfil-e-Waaz-o-Nasihat would be held after every Maghrib prayer until Azan-e-Isha while Mehfil-e-Samaa would be held after the Isha prayer every day during the Urs, he added.
He told the meeting that concluding ceremony of the Urs would be held at 11-30 on Jan 21. Prime Minister would be chief guest in the concluding ceremony, he stated.
The DC directed the officers of district administration and police to ensure foolproof security arrangements and all possible facilities to the visiting devotees. Comprehensive plan has been prepared to regulate the flow of the traffic during the Urs. DC also directed concerned officials for uninterrupted power supply and keep an eye on the elements that are involve in immoral activities during the Urs. He cautioned such elements that they would be dealt with sternly.
