MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has urged journalists and youth of the State to expose Indian atrocities and brutalities through social media.
Addressing to oath taking ceremony of newly elected office bearers in central press club on Thursday he said Indian cruelties, state terrorism and massacring of Kashmiris would have to be highlighted through unconventional ways.
He reiterated that the freedom struggle in IHK was indigenous, launched by the youth of Kashmir who have stood up against Indian forces for their atrocities and human rights violations against innocent people in the valley. He said there should be a conflict resolution and not conflict management on Kashmir. Government of Pakistan has every right to take up the matter of Indian aggression and human rights abuses at any international forum, he added. He said Indian forces continuously shelling from across the LoC in violation of ceasefire line and they martyred a woman on Thursday in Athmuqam. He was of the view that general elections in India were approaching that was why India was resorting to firing in AJK to make Indians emotional in Modi’s favor.
He said efforts were being made to revive Musharraf formula which was not accepted by the people of Kashmir. He said people of Gilgit Baltistan should be given their political, constitutional and economic rights. GB has been declared a local authority in the UNSC resolutions, he remarked. He said 13th amendment could not be waived with.
Mr. Haider said that the real accountability of the rulers is elections and added that the parameter of NAB and FIA could not be widened to AJK.
Turning to the environmental issue, the Premier said turning the direction of river was a mockery with the nature. He maintained that hydropower generation projects should be set up on run of the river in AJK.
Appreciating the traditions of CPC he said these should be maintained. He also announced 2 million rupees grant for CPC.
