LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has said private medical colleges are producing quacks rather than doctors and doctors from private medical colleges even can not check blood pressure, therefore, steps have been taken against these hospitals.
He said this while addressing 4th convocation of services institute of medical sciences here Saturday.
He held private medical colleges grabbed million of rupees I got returned the money to parents of students. It is and was not my job that I should run hospitals. But it was my responsibility to rectify the errors and shortcomings wherever they were.
“When I told what facilities should be provided in hospitals and medicines should be provided complete. Then tell me did I overstep my jurisdiction”, he inquired.
He underlined there are still such things in Pakistan which are not upto international level. Those witnessed development in the world who placed focus on education. Therefore, I say all the available resources should be allocated for education.
He remarked “improvement has come in health care system of Sindh and Balochistan.
“When I became CJP then several people congratulated me. But I should be congratulated when I would be retired. Then it will become clear that I have succeeded or otherwise. I am striving in my life”, he added.
“My real brother will testify that I don’t sleep more than three hours daily. I leave for court in the morning and remain therein till 2400 hrs. I can commit mistake but my intentions have never remained wrong”, he underscored.
He said “my love is with all the hospitals and universities of Pakistan. May the hospital be from Tharparkar, Bahawalpur, Peshawar or Balochistan I love all hospitals. My love is not with a particular hospital or areA but I love the whole Pakistan.
